Compliance & Accreditations

Regulated, Accredited & Accountable

Scholar & Stone operates to the highest professional standards. We are members of leading industry bodies that hold us accountable and protect both landlords and tenants.

As a responsible property management company, we are proud to be regulated and accredited by the bodies below. These memberships are not just badges — they represent our commitment to transparency, fair practice, and the protection of your money and your rights.

The Property Ombudsman

The Property Ombudsman

The Property Ombudsman (TPO) provides a free, fair, and independent service for resolving disputes between consumers and property agents. As a member, Scholar & Stone is bound by the TPO Code of Practice, which sets out the standards of service you can expect from us.

What this means for you

If you have a complaint that we are unable to resolve directly, you have the right to refer it to the TPO for independent review.

ClientMoney Protect

ClientMoney Protect

ClientMoney Protect (CMP) is a government-authorised client money protection scheme. Our membership means that all client funds — including rent and deposits — are held in a separate, protected account and are covered in the event of misappropriation.

What this means for you

Your money is protected. In the unlikely event of financial failure or fraud, CMP ensures that landlords and tenants can recover funds held by Scholar & Stone.

Information Commissioner's Office

Information Commissioner's Office

The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) is the UK's independent authority set up to uphold information rights. Our registration confirms that Scholar & Stone handles personal data lawfully and in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).

What this means for you

Your personal data is handled responsibly. We are registered with the ICO (Registration No. ZC173980) and comply fully with UK data protection law.

Deposit Protection Service

Deposit Protection Service

The Deposit Protection Service (DPS) is a government-approved tenancy deposit protection scheme. All deposits taken by Scholar & Stone are registered and protected with the DPS, as required by law.

What this means for you

Your deposit is safe. At the end of your tenancy, your deposit will be returned promptly if there are no deductions, or any disputes will be resolved through the DPS's free adjudication service.
